Thank you letter from the Mayor of Bochnia

Our Representative Basia Rajska-Kulig received a "Thank you" letter from the Mayor of Bochnia Stefan Kolawinski on her last visit to Bochnia. In turn, she attended RSCA - India Committee meeting on February 8th to share the letter and provide a copy. The Indian Committee joined the Polish Committee in the donation. Thank you Indian Committee and we appreciate it very much as the people of Ukraine need all the help they can get.

Dear Madam,

On behalf of myself and the residents of the city of Bochnia, I would like to thank you very much for supporting the efforts to help refugees from Ukraine, who in these cruel times found shelter and care in our city - Bochnia.

The opening of hearts and homes to people fleeing the horrors of war without regard for any compensation aroused the admiration of the whole world. I am proud of the fact that there are many such people in Bochnia - families who welcome under their roofs our neighbors from Ukraine.

Your gesture of supporting them is very important to us. Although spontaneous help has been and is provided only for purely human reasons, in an impulse of good heart and support for the victims, the costs of this help are measurable.

That is why your noble action is so important and needed, showing that human solidarity has no boundaries or distances, and support for the victims is provided throughout the world.

All these acts of kindness give encouragement to further, selfless and nameless actions of support, and so the wave of goodwill is growing stronger and stronger.

Once again, I would like to thank both the Polish Committee and the Indian Committee for directing aid here, to your Partner City of Bochnia.

With respect and personal appreciation - Stefan Kolawinski
