About the RSCA German Committee

About the RSCA German Committee

In 2019 the German Committee was formed. Because Roselle was founded by German Americans and German immigrants, our goal was to establish a German Sister City by 2022 to coincide with the Roselle Centennial Celebration. On October 7, 2021 - on Roselle's 99th Anniversary, the RSCA German Committee and the Laatzen International Friendship organization in Laatzen, Germany formed a Friendship Cities relationship.

Delegations from Laatzen have visited Roselle in October, 2022 and August, 2025, and delegations from Roselle have visited Laatzen multiple times over the years. These visits, along with our monthly video conferences and regular communications, have deepened our relationship with the Laatzen members and we are now Sister Cities (final official documents are in process of being completed).

Visit our Facebook Events page or the website News and Events pages for more information.

Our Committee meets at the Roselle Village Hall on the 2nd Saturday of every month at 9:00 A.M. During these meetings, we meet via video conference with our friends in Laatzen, Germany.

We organize and hold many events, including an annual Bockfest Parade and Event which is held on the last Saturday in April. Mark your calendars: Our next one will be on April 25th, 2026.

We also hold a Stammtisch also known as a “regulars table” on the 3rd Wednesday of the month during most months. It is an opportunity to learn more about the German Committee and our Sister City of Laatzen, talk about the German heritage, speak some German if you’d like, enjoy a beverage and friendly conversation with our members and friends.

Below is the 2025 Stammtisch schedule. The 2026 schedule will be updated soon. Come join us!

Pollyanna will also have beer, wine and spirits for purchase. The Ertedankefest celebration kicks off on Tuesday, October 7th at 6:00 pm! Details are posted on on our Facebook page.
