Ready for the most adorable high-stakes race of the season? Dust off those tiny racing jackets and get ready for the Dachshund Dash from the Roselle Sister Cities Association German Committee! 🐾
Join us on Friday, April 24 at 12:30 pm at Trinity Lutheran Church & School for the 2nd Annual Dachshund Dash.
Whether your doxie is a seasoned "speed demon" or just here for the mid-race snacks and belly rubs, this event is all about fun, wagging tails, and good-natured competition. It’s a sight you won’t want to miss—imagine dozens of little hot dogs charging (or wandering) toward the finish line in a blur of floppy ears and tiny legs.
🌭 The Main Event: The Race
It’s a sprint to glory! Each racing team needs one enthusiastic Dachshund or small dog and two human assistants:
- The Releaser: Stationed at the starting line to unleash the beast.
- The Catcher: At the finish line, armed with your pup's favorite squeaky toy or the most irresistible treat you can find to lure them home.
📋 Important Details for Humans:
- Paws Only: While we love all furry friends, the racing is strictly for Dachshunds and small dogs.
- Clean Up: Please bring your own "doo-doo duty" gear to keep the grounds looking great.
- Prizes: Trophies, ribbons, and serious bragging rights are on the line!
